Favorite Italian Greyhound & Chinese Crested Clothing Sites

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Italian Greyhound’s have large chests, thin skin, and long legs. Chinese crested are hairless. Finding the right type of items to keep their temperature sustained in the various climates is a delicate task. Below are a few of the vendors we really like and would recommend looking into for your beloved fur-babies!

For both breeds, I would suggest getting at minimum a coat, sun shirt, and if you’re in a hot climate – also a cooling vest.

For CC’s, I’d make sure you also get one long sleeve shirt and a UV top that has full legs and full arms.

For IG’s I’d nearly make it mandatory to get a martingale collar since their neck is nearly the same size as their head. Don’t get a retractable leash, it can lead to lacerations. Big no-no.

  • AliExpress (Dog sunglasses, lots of vendors, just do a search, be sure to get one that has the elastic that goes around the back and is the right size for your dogs head.)
  • Cappi’s Jammies and Accessories
  • Hurtta (Extreme Overall has been great for our CC as an extra layer in the winter)
  • K9 Sport Sack (backpack they can sit in where their paws go on your shoulders)
  • K9 mask (N95 style dog masks if you’re in a region that is fire prone like CA)
  • Mutt Muffs (great if you take your dog to loud areas, concerts, or take them flying in helicopters or airplanes)
  • Northwind Catalog (5/8″ martingale lead is our favorite for our IG’s and CC’s)
  • Rex Specs (ski style dog goggles)
  • Spoiled Bratzwear (love their UV sun shirt line. She makes bellybands if your pups potty training isn’t going to plan)
  • TimBuk2 Mut Mover 2 We have their original version, the second version is out and still looks great.
  • TurboThreads (great cooling coats and sweaters)
  • Voyagers K9 Apparel (I buy the Italian Greyhound style winter coats for both my IG and CC. Easy to put on/off if they weather is cooling down or cold. They have booties that we’ve gotten as well.)

Other items we like: K9 Sport Sack for taking them on bike rides or hiking in parks where dogs aren’t allowed on the trails, dog sunglasses and accessories like gold chains because they’re cute, RexSpecs (mostly because they look cool but also good if you take them motorcycle riding or into the desert), soft collars for their delicate skin, tummy warms (K9 voyagers apparel makes great ones) – more for IGs because CC’s will just go into a coat if it’s chilly, bellybands if your pup isn’t potty trained, a raincoat if you’re in a region where it rains a lot (Hurtta or Voyagers K9 apparel have great ones), and mutt muffs is you take your dog to loud places.

Other items you should look into buying as a dog owner in general: travel bag if you fly, collapsible water bowl/food bowl if you travel with them, water bottle that dispenses water into a drinkable cup for when you go on hikes, blanket, toys, small squeaky balls, and a Dremel (we love the Dremel version 7300 but it’s since been continued. The battery lasted 6 years. Dremel 7350-PET looks similar and is available on Amazon ) – we prefer dremels over traditional nail trimmers.
